Sunderland Football Club gains Red Tractor certification

Red Tractor Assurance is delighted to announce that Sunderland Football Club has become the latest major premiership football club to gain Red Tractor certification for its fresh meat products.

Nigel Lockey, Machinery Sales Manager at Massey Ferguson dealership Carrs Billington, Hexham, kindly exhibited a Massey Ferguson 7616 on the day and was there to welcome Sunderland Football Club as the latest, exciting new recruit to the Assured Food Standards family. The tractor scored a great result on the day with a very interested crowd.

Rob Dunk, National Sales Manager for Massey Ferguson UK said: “It is great to see Sunderland Football Club supporting Red Tractor farmers and we’re delighted that our tractor will take pride of place in such an iconic location.”

The Red Tractor logo is a mark of quality assurance that shows that food or drink products meet high standards of food safety, environmental protection and animal welfare. The Union Flag featured in the logo also highlights a guarantee of origin.

Sunderland Football Club has chosen the Red Tractor logo to show its commitment to providing its corporate hospitality clientele with good quality, traceable and sustainable food.

Massey Ferguson has supported the Red Tractor scheme since its launch in 2000. At events across the country Massey Ferguson uses its tractors to help consumers’ connect with how their food is produced and to explain UK farming’s commitment to quality that is behind the Red Tractor brand.
